I was fortunate enough to correspond with Josh Heilman z"l for some time. He wrote several stories about life in Lubaczow before World War Two.

Once he sent me this note, and asked , in Hebrew " Does this gravestone still exist?"

He referred to the gravestone of his maternal grandmother Rachel ROST, the wife of his grandfather Noe/ Noa/Noach ROST.

Noe Noach  and Rachela Rachel ROST had at least four  children:

1. Sara ROST married BABAD, born 1888 in Lubaczow, married to Rabbi Moses BABAD. They both were murdered in the Holocaust. Their two sons survived.

2. Gulcia r Margule v Margaret ROST married Wolf LOEWI in Krakow in 1907. Born around  1885 - 1890?

3. Joseph ROST, born in Lubaczow in 1894, married. At least one son  survived. Joseph ROST was murdered in the Holocaust.

4. Helena Hena ROST married HEILMAN , born in Lubaczow in 1900.Was murdered in the  Holocaust with her husband Feiwel Shraga HEILMAN and their son Zeev HEILMAN. Their son Yehushua (later Josh) Heilman got out just before the war broke out in 1939. Their daughter Shoshana went through the whole Holocaust, but survived. 

Shoshana HEILMAN died in Israel in 1998.

Josh HEILMAN died in Canada in 2005.

Noe Noa ROST was around 80 years when the war broke out. He was also murdered in Holocaust.

On the Page of Testimony Yehushua Heilman submitted to Yad Vashem for his grandfather, he noted that his grandmother had died before the war.

I am fairly confident that this is  the gravestone  Josh Heilman was looking for, but it would be great to have a clear photo of the gravestone.
