Information from Pages of Testimony.
Israel WINTER and his wife Malke WINTER nee BEGLIEBTER were both born around 1900.
Israel Winter was a merchant, but also a SOFER STAM - a scribe.
The couple had three children - Avraham (born ca 1927), Berl (born ca 1930) and Chana (born ca 1933)
From the Page of Testimony we learn that Israel's parents were Avraham and Rivka Rachel.
That means that the father of Israel, Avraham WINTER, had died before his grandson was born in 1927.
There was an additional WINTER family, that of a brother of Israel WINTER, named Selman WINTER.
Selman WINTER, born around 1864, was the son of Abraham and Rachel Lea WINTER. He died in 1919 at the age of 55.
Selman might have married two sisters - first Taube Mirla LEMPEL and then Sara LEMPEL.
With Taube Mirla LEMPEL he had his daughter Marjem WINTER in 1887.
Marjem WINTER married Jakob Samuel KOENIG r. GOTTLIEB in 1921.
Incredible, but true - Marjem had three sets of twins:
Taube Mirel and Chaja KOENIG were born in 1924.
Hersz Zysze and Salmon KOENIG were born in 1926.
Aron Nachmen and Szymon KOENIG were born in 1928.
Then they had a son named Moses KOENIG in 1930.
In 1892 he had married to Sara nee LEMPEL.
Selman had the following children with Sara:
1. Hene Rifka WINTER born in 1893.
Hene Rifka married Nuchim Izak STERNBERG in 1921.
This couple had at least these four children:
Rudzie STERNBERG was born in 1921.
Cypa Chana STERNBERG was born in 1923.
Reizla STERNBERG was born in 1925.
Juda Leib STERNBERG was born in 1927.
2. Hersch WINTER born in 1899
3. Rachel Laja WINTER born in 1900
Rachel Laja married Dawid HALPERN in 1924.
This couple became the parents of
Zelman HALPERN born in 1925.
Moses Samson HALPERN born in 1927.
4. Ryfka WINTER born in 1910, died in 1926.
5. Szymon WINTER born 1916
