The same is true for the descendants of the tribe of Levi. It also passes down from father to son.
For men this is noted in the Hebrew text like this:
Abraham, son of Yehuda HaLevi
אברהם בן יהודה הלוי
But also the daughters have this noted on their gravestones:
Rachel, daughter of Zvi HaLevi
רחל בת צבי הלוי
For the Levi men, who do the ritual washing of the hands of the Kohanim before they do the Kohen blessing, a pitcher and a bowl is part of the decoration on their gravestones.
The bowl often is just a circle.

For all the gravestones without a family name, we could - in the beginning - not connect the persons buried there to any family name.
Now, with the death register for the years 1914 - 1938, this has become possible in some cases.
