Notes
Group One: Family name on stone
Group Five: Died after Dec 1938

According to the gravestone, Keila DORNER,  daughter of Menachem Mendel,  died on Simchat Torah in 1939. This is in the beginning of the Soviet occupation.

If so, this makes sense: Keila DORNER's daughter,Anna FROSTIG nee DORNER, submitted two Pages for two of her brothers, but none for her mother. In my view,  it is likely she had been to her mother's funeral in 1939 and knew there was a gravestone.

If I put the information together, here is my understanding:

  •  According to  her daughter Anna Frostig's Pages, she was born as Keila ADLER to Menachem and Chana ADLER. Menachem ADLER probably went under the name Mendel ADLER.
  •  Keila was married to Zvi Hersch DORNER.
  • In the 1929 Lubaczow Business Directory we find this listing

    DORNER   H.   Wegiel    Coal

  • In the 1938 telephone listings for Lubaczow, Hersch DORNER is listed with the telephone number 24 and with the following address:  Dorner Hersch, Pilsudskiego 18
  • Keila and Zvi Hersch had at least four children who died young:
       Jakob DORNER ca 1907 - 1915
       Chaja Ita DORNER  ca 1911 - 1915
       Benjamin DORNER 1917-1917
       Selig DORNER 1923 -1923
  • Keila DORNER nee ADLER  was also the mother of Natan DORNER born around 1910 in Lubaczow, a married coal merchant. Natan was murdered in Holocaust.
  •  Keila DORNER nee ADLER  was also the mother of Moshe DORNER born March 27th 1927 in Lubaczow, a student/pupil. He would then have been only 13 years old when his mother died, and around 15 years old when he himself was murdered in Holocaust.
  • Keila DORNER nee ADLER was the mother of Ana  Anna FROSTIG nee DORNER who survived the Holocaust.
  • I believe there might have been additional children.

Some of the information on  Pages of Testimony submitted by others do not confirm what  my understanding is, so please check it out.

Ana Frostig did not write Pages of Testimony for her mother and for her father.
Did her father die after December 1938 and before the Holocaust started?
