To my understanding, here is the beginning of the SALANDER family tree:
A couple named Chaim and Etla SALANDER (born around 1815-1825?) had at least
1. a son born ca 1853 they named Moshe SALANDER
2. a daughter born ca 1855 they named Rachla Rachela SALANDER
1. a son born ca 1853 they named Moshe SALANDER
2. a daughter born ca 1855 they named Rachla Rachela SALANDER
Moshe SALANDER (ca 1853-1915) and his wife Freida LEMLER had a daughter they named Etla SALANDER in 1889, so the grandmother Etla must have died before 1889. Their son, whom they named Chaim SALANDER, was born in 1890, so the grandfather Chaim must have died before 1890. Etla, born 1889, had a son she named Moses in 1918 as her father had died in 1915.
Rachla Rachela SALANDER nee SALANDER ( ca 1855- 1920) married Mordechai Markus SALANDER and they named their son, born around 1882 Moses (Moshe). This Moses SALANDER born around 1882, married Jachet FREIMAN and they had a daughter named Eti in 1908, probably named after her grandmother Etla. Moses SALANDER later used the given name Moritz, perhaps to help differentiate between himself and his uncle? I believe Moritz SALANDER must be the one in the Business Directory for Lubaczow for 1929.
